OscarOscar Salazar Varela
Guitar, Cuban tres, Mexican vihuela and leona

Oscar Salazar is a guitarist, composer and teacher of Mexican origin. As a performer he has traveled to several music scenes in Mexico, USA and Canada. He has studied classical guitar with Alvaro Pierri at the University du Québec à Montréal, where he got a B.A. in classical performance and a Post-Graduate Diploma in music film composition. Subsequent to these studies he did a Master and doctorate studies at the University Laval.
In 2004, he won the second prize at Guitarra sin fronteras, a nationwide guitar competition. He also won the Cleofas Villegas prize. He has also participated in several recordings of classical and popular music, including in 2009 the classical guitar album De Canaima al Cobre.
Jaime Lenin Melo Chacón

Guitar, requinto, charango and mandolin

Jaime Melo Lenin Chacón is an Ecuadorian guitarist. He was part of the group “Contrastes” in Ecuador, Quito, where he was the requinto guitar player and singer. Inspired by the Ecuadorian guitarist Terry Pazmiño, Lenin Melo began his classical guitar studies and won a scholarship to study at the National School of Arts in Havana Cuba for two years and six month. In Montreal Canada, he continued his studies at the college of “Saint-Laurent” with André Roy. Also, he studied with Alvaro Pierri for a year when he attended the university at “Université du Québec à Montréal” where soon he will end his Bachelor of Music Education. Since 2011, and playing the guitar and “requinto guitar”, he gives recitals interpreting Latin American music.

Cajon, bongoes, and percussions.

Mexican percussionist that has developed his musical career playing « world music » percussion instruments like the cajon, bongoes, doumbek, djembe, riq and indian tabla and many others.
He has studied with master percussionists Koungbanan Condé and Bemba Bangoura from Guinea, Francisco Bringas from Mexico, Shashanka Bakshi from India, Karim Nagi from Egypt, Raquy Danziger from Turkey-USA, Hans Longpre from Canada and so many others.
He has fourteen year’s experience playing in many musical projects and different styles.
